Laser Cleaning Head: Core Component of Laser Cleaning Machine
The laser cleaning head is the core execution component of a laser cleaning machine. It is responsible for beam transmission, focusing, scanning, air curtain protection, and safety monitoring, ultimately delivering high-energy laser beams precisely onto the workpiece surface to achieve efficient, controllable, non-contact cleaning.
The collimating lens converts the laser beam output from the fiber optic cable into parallel light. The focusing lens concentrates the beam into a high-energy-density spot (as small as 30μm), ensuring concentrated energy and efficient removal of rust, oil, and coatings.
Adjustable-focus models are suitable for workpieces with curved surfaces, steps, or uneven thickness, maintaining a stable focal point and ensuring consistent cleaning results.
Built-in X/Y galvo scanners deflect the beam at high speed, enabling spot, line, and area scanning. The scanning width is continuously adjustable from 0.1mm to 50mm, supporting patterns such as grids and spirals for efficient large-area coverage.
Dual red light or blue light indicates the spot position and boundary, providing visual focusing assistance and preventing mis-cleaning.
Compressed air or nitrogen is ejected from the front to form an annular air curtain, blowing away dust and fumes, preventing contamination of the focusing lens, and extending lens life.
Auxiliary gas is directed straight to the cleaning area, accelerating the removal of rust and paint residues, thereby improving derusting and paint stripping efficiency.
A U-shaped laser output port and sealed cavity reduce dust ingress, making the head suitable for harsh industrial environments.
The head temperature is monitored in real time. An over-temperature condition triggers an automatic alarm and laser shutdown, preventing lens damage.
Power, frequency, and pulse width are adjustable in real time. Energy gradient control ensures a heat-affected zone of ≤0.1mm, protecting the base material.
The ergonomic handheld design fits curved surfaces and deep grooves. It can also be integrated with robotic arms for automated production line operations.
Simple and stable construction. Suitable for flat sheets and fixed workstations.
Adapts to curved and irregular-shaped workpieces, such as automotive parts and pipes.
Enables fast large-area cleaning. Suitable for shipbuilding, steel structures, and building facades.
Multiple laser beams operate in parallel for high-speed inline derusting and paint stripping, such as on automotive bodies.
